Stevie Ray and Delta

Stevie Ray Vaughan Blues (wow, this "Blues name game" can become really cumbersome, did you say?) . . . oh, well -- Laney loves the game as much as the music! Stevie Ray is a 2nd generation male and younger brother of Joplin (2nd reference isn't all that bad, though). His mother Xena was raised here by Founder Pair #1 (Ira and Eureka). His father is Trust, who was raised by Founder Pair #3 (Bogie and Bacall). Stevie Ray hatched Feb. 21, 2003 and moved into the flock on Oct. 16, 2003.

Delta Blues is a 2nd generation female who was parent-reared at Houston Zoo. She came to Bird Endowment in July 2002 on breeding loan from the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita, KS. She is the younger sister of Elwood. Her father is the son of Founder Pair #2 (Prophecy and Fantasy). Her mother was raised by a wild-caught pair at St. Catherine's. Delta hatched on Feb. 8, 2001, and was raised along with a male clutchmate. The mother died when they were about eight months old. However, the two stayed with the father until July 2002.
